For the first university semester of 2011, much of my time was occupied with editing the conservatorium’s student newspaper, which had previously existed as an A4 stapled bulletin. Given free reign by the Conservatorium Students Association, I chose to publish a fortnightly A5 booklet which aimed to also expose its readership to a broader range of arts content than might be seen by students through articles, reviews, offers, and listings as well as student information amd staff profiles.

Reproduced in full colour, each issue featured a consistent aesthetic, whether all hand drawn, a Freud/Bacon counterpoint, apocalyptic separation, or babies. There were occasional puzzles, but week to week a selection of prose also appeared. The diverse content attracted a wide audience beyond students at the conservatorium via a presence here

Below are examples of spreads. All articles as attributed – those which aren’t are my own work.
